There is no substitute for experience

InContext, Inc. is owned and operated by professional technical writers with nearly 20 years experience providing documentation and project management to Fortune 100 companies.

Julia McClung, President

Focusing on procedural, operational, and training information design and development, Julia creates specialized documentation for a variety of industries ranging from high-tech to healthcare. With the assertion that "technical documentation" is a style of writing rather than a reference to its content, Julia encourages all organizations to recognize the value of having clear, consistent, and accurate information.

Julia's varied experience includes: nearly ten years of business and technical communication development including substantial experience writing for Fortune 100 technology companies; grant writing; and for-profit and nonprofit business development. Julia applies her unique range of experience to develop customized content and content delivery models in the context of the client's business environment.

Julia also applies her previous experience as the successful Regional Director of a major U.S. technical documentation vendor. This experience is an essential component in developing service offerings that complement our clients’ organizational structure and effectively balance the needs of all parties in the blended staffing framework.

Shishir Shonek, Vice President

Shishir has been a technical writer, information architect, and documentation project manager for more than 10 years. He has developed books and online help for hardware, software, and solutions. He also has experience editing mathematics publications and physics textbooks.

Shishir specializes in creating and managing solutions for complex and problematic documentation situations. Specific projects include adoption of new technologies (such as Eclipse), and migration of legacy content (for example, to DITA), and library design. This experience is an essential component in helping clients overcome technical and logistical challenges associated with information development, modernization, and delivery.
